2024 Festival Highlights

The 2024 Scotland Juneteenth Heritage Festival spanned five days and eight venues, making it the largest Juneteenth celebration in the DMV region for the second consecutive year. From honoring the historic African-American land ownership in Montgomery County's Scotland community to hosting a diverse array of events, the festival was a resounding success!

Key highlights included a star-studded musical gala at Bethesda Blues & Jazz Club, a fellowship breakfast bringing together leaders from various faiths and cultures, and the esteemed Clarence "Pint" Isreal Juneteenth Classic at Povich Field, honoring a local baseball legend. The festival also featured health and wellness initiatives, a 5K run, a classic car show, and insightful discussions on social justice and the role of faith communities.
