This Festival serves a dual purpose: it pays tribute to tradition while supporting local organizations dedicated to empowering and uplifting the Black community and its youth.

Emory Grove United Methodist Church
Emory Grove was originally founded by freed African Americans in 1864. The church is one of the few remaining historical structures of the historic community.
1Up Handles
1Uphandles is a nonprofit organization that run after school programs, summer camps, and clinics for school age kids.
Soul in Motion
Soul In Motion Players is a nonprofit performing arts organization specializing in African Dance, African Drumming, Theatre, and Spoken Word.
Future Stars
Future Stars Sports is a nonprofit sports organization that offers basketball and cheerleading to empower youth by fostering personal growth, teamwork, and community engagement.
Reach Beyond Basketball
Reach Beyond Basketball is a nonprofit dedicated to teaching young people the concept of "reaching beyond" their comfort zone to reach their full potential on the court, in the classroom, and life in general.
